Boil water advisory in effect for part of town of Livingston | News

Residents in the Pine Heaven area of the town of Livingston in Livingston Parish are under a boil water advisory, after a broken water line was recently repaired, officials said Monday morning.

A water sample will be submitted for testing today.

“We will notify everyone as soon as results are back and the advisory is lifted,” town officials posted online. “We apologize for the inconvenience and truly appreciate your patience and understanding.”

According to the Louisiana Department of Health, bottled water is the best option during a boil water advisory, until officials say otherwise.

“If you do not have bottled water available, the next best option is to boil your tap water to make it safe to drink,” the health department said.
