Carnival Parade 2026 in Athens on Feb 22 (Full program)

The Athens Chamber of Tradesmen (EEA) announced on Friday that it will hold the main carnival parade in Athens on Sunday, February 22, 2026.

The EEA has organized a full program of event on the same day.

In its invitation to the public to attend, the Chamber said the carnival parade will start at 17:00 from Syntagma Square, proceeding through Ermou and Eolou Streets to end up at Kotzia Square, location of the Athens City Hall.

The program will include dancing groups, carnival-specific events, and percussion ensembles. The Municipality’s Philharmonic Orchestra will declare the start of the parade, while also performing will be the groups Bloco Swingueira, Global Daoulia, ‘O Molyvos’ cultural center, and the Cheerleaders Greek Group.

A carnival party will follow at 19:00 with live music at Kotzia Square, with Dimitris Makalias serving as dj.

Chamber President Giannis Chatzitheodosiou said that the event has become a tradition, calling on participation and enjoyment of all.

The even will be broadcast live by Lampsi 92.3 FM and Athens DeeJay 95.2 FM radio stations, in cooperation with the Athens Municipality.
