AIIMS Guwahati to offer medical services to ECHS beneficiaries in NE

AIIMS Guwahati has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Defence to provide healthcare services to ex-servicemen and their families in the Northeast.

The MoU was signed on Thursday between AIIMS Guwahati and the Regional Centre of the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), Guwahati, at the AIIMS Guwahati campus. The agreement is aimed at improving access to medical services for veterans and their dependents in the region.

Under the arrangement, eligible beneficiaries covered by ECHS will be able to avail specialised medical services and treatment facilities at AIIMS Guwahati. These services will be provided in accordance with the applicable norms and guidelines.

The collaboration is expected to strengthen existing healthcare support mechanisms for ex-servicemen and their families across the North-Eastern states.
