US, ROK diplomats discuss North Korean denuclearization, peace efforts

The top diplomats of the U.S. and South Korea reaffirmed their commitment to the “complete denuclearization” of North Korea on Tuesday, while discussing efforts to reengage Pyongyang.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Hyun met in Washington to discuss implementing the agreements made during President Donald Trump’s summit with South Korean President Lee Jae Myung in late October, where Trump pledged to “work very hard with Kim Jong Un” to achieve peace.

The top diplomats of the U.S. and South Korea reaffirmed their commitment to the “complete denuclearization” of North Korea on Tuesday, while discussing efforts to reengage Pyongyang.
