Foreign Minister Baour meets business leaders in Delhi specializing in energy, development, infrastructure, and transportation

During his visit to India, Taher Al-Baour, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the Tripoli based Libyan government, met with the chairmen and CEOs of several Indian companies specializing in energy, development, infrastructure, and transportation.

Al-Baour had been in India participating in last Saturday’s (31 January) opening session of the Second Meeting of Foreign Ministers from India and Arab states in New Delhi.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting reviewed existing cooperation between Libya and India and explored ways to strengthen economic and investment partnerships to serve the mutual interests of both countries and contribute to supporting sustainable development efforts and implementing priority development projects in Libya.

Both sides emphasized the importance of consolidating Libyan Indian bilateral relations and building upon the historical ties between the two countries to enhance cooperation opportunities in vital sectors and support the exchange of expertise between Libyan institutions and Indian companies.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the importance of continued communication and coordination between relevant authorities in both countries was emphasized, along with the need to develop appropriate frameworks for activating areas of cooperation, thereby contributing to expanding and enhancing bilateral relations.
