YEAH I KNOW, Wyoming has not had much snow this year. Due to a high-pressure system that parked itself more east than it usually does, the worst of winter’s weather has been going around us.

At least we save money on snowplowing. Wyoming has a shortage of snowplow drivers, so it is good that we did not get much this year.

But just for the fun of it, did you know that each Wyoming snowplow has been named? Every time we get a new plow, the public is asked to name it. The results are a lot of fun.

Wyoming snow plows, particularly in the northeast and Casper districts, have been given creative, pun-filled names in recent years, including Snokyo Drift, Scoop Dogg, Darth Blader, Plowboy Joe, and Logan Chillson. These names were selected through contests for local schools and residents to improve visibility and community engagement.
