‎Sirte Oil and Gas Manufacturing Company reported yesterday that it had drilled and completed new and re-started wellsadding about 4,020 barrels of oil per day to production.

Sirte Oil said it achieved this through the drilling of two wells in the Zlatan field and the return of a third well in the field to production. It was also able to drill the first horizontal development well in the Al-Khair field since the start of production in 2021.

This is part of ongoing efforts to develop oil reservoirs and enhance field efficiency.

Specifically, the work included drilling and completing the horizontal well C348-6, targeting the Zaltan (L4) reservoir with a horizontal cross-section exceeding 1,000 feet and a flow rate exceeding 1,500 barrels per day. Additionally, the company completed the horizontal well C344 in the northern part of the field, with a horizontal cross-section exceeding 1,350 feet, targeting the Al-Harash reservoir and achieving a production rate of approximately 500 barrels per day.

In the Al-Khair field, the company also completed drilling its first horizontal development well, A6H-LP3D, since production began in 2021. Targeting the Al-Bayda reservoir using directional drilling techniques, the well has achieved encouraging production rates of approximately 1,070 barrels of oil per day.

In the Zaltan field, the company successfully brought well C71 back into production through hydraulic fracturing, achieving a flow rate exceeding 950 barrels of oil per day without recording any water content, indicating the efficiency of the adopted technical programs and supporting the National Oil Corporation’s plans to increase sustainable production.
