MOST VALUABLE PLAYER
Garrett Ferguson, Westfield Sr.
The senior attacker led the Blue Devils’ offensive onslaught by racking up five goals. The Washington and Lee commit netted back-to-back goals in the last five minutes of the second quarter to give Westfield an 8-9 lead heading to the second half. Ferguson tallied 16 goals during the postseason and 80 on the season.
Standout Performances
Colin Coyle, Westfield Sr.
Coyle delivered as Westfield’s main facilitator by recording four assists along with one goal. The UMass commit assisted on all three of the Blue Devils’ second quarter goals before finding the back of the net with 5:27 left in the third. Coyle kept stat keepers busy throughout Westfield’s Group 4 run by accumulating 31 points in the postseason.
Ben Seward, Westfield Jr.
Westfield’s LSM played a major part in the Blue Devils keeping Kingsway off the scoreboard for most of the game. Kingsway was kept scoreless until the final five minutes of the third quarter. Seward has tallied 54 ground balls on the season.
Billy Gerne, Westfield Sr.
The Trinity College commit helped Westfield earn its second straight title by netting a pair of goals. Gerne netted the Blue Devils’ first goal goal with 9:58 left in the opening quarter and scored again to open the second quarter.
Ryan Glenn, Kingsway Jr.
Glenn gave the Dragons their first goal of the goal of the game by burying a shot with 5:04 left in the third. The junior LSM racked up 30 points on the season.
