Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairperson Rabi Lamichhane has filed his candidacy for Chitwan Constituency No. 2 through a legal representative.

According to RSP Chitwan Chairperson Krishna Prasad Bhusal, Lamichhane was in Birgunj in connection with a cooperative-related case and was unable to be physically present to register his nomination. As a result, the candidacy was filed on his behalf through a proxy.

Bhusal said Lamichhane had authorised RSP metropolitan chairperson Sita Gyawali as his proxy, who completed the nomination process. He added that although Lamichhane was preparing to return to Chitwan after completing his work in Birgunj, time constraints led to the nomination being filed through a proxy.

Lamichhane is contesting from Chitwan Constituency No. 2 for the third time.
