MBABANE — The Eswatini music landscape is currently buzzing with excitement as Sancheziey’s powerhouse rendition of his hit single, “Siyabonga Gogo,” continues to shatter digital records.
In a massive surge of local support, the star-studded remix has officially surpassed the 70 000 view threshold on YouTube just three weeks after its debut.
Featuring an extraordinary multi-generational cast—including legendary vocalist Lodanda, modern rap titan Young Zesh, and the harmonious Limkokwing Choir—the remix has maintained an incredible trajectory since its release on December 20, 2025. Sancheziey noted that this milestone “matches the commitment I and the team put in making this Remix,” emphasising that the success is a direct result of the meticulous planning and heart poured into the project.
The artist spoke candidly about the intentionality behind the collaboration, which he viewed as a masterclass in merging heritage with modern sound. “The research put together to get the artists that will match the energy on its own is something else,” he remarked, adding that “the investment made from the production team both for visuals and music production is indeed paying out”.
He highlighted that the idea for the remix was ignited by the Limkokwing Choir’s performance at their graduation, but the real challenge was securing the legendary Lodanda. Having not recorded since 2015, her return was a “pending dream” for Sancheziey, intended to bring an “emotional touch that will take every listener to moments with their grandmother”. To balance this nostalgia, he enlisted Young Zesh to inject dynamic hip-hop flows that aligned with the cultural theme of Lisiko lekucelwa.
Looking ahead, Sancheziey is optimistic about the song’s impact on the 2026 charts. “I pray this becomes the crossover song and looking at the reaction of emaSwati, it’s promising,” he shared. The production, a collaborative effort involving MegaSounds Records, Ejal’dini Studios, and producers Tus Mvuleni and SeanCast HQ, has clearly struck a chord with the public.
Deeply moved by the support, Sancheziey extended his gratitude to the fans who have driven the numbers to this new milestone. “I am so much grateful to everyone who shared, commented and watched.
