Huliaipole and Oleksandrivka directions remain hottest in south

In the south, Russian troops continue active assault operations in the Huliaipole and Oleksandrivka directions and are simultaneously preparing for combat in winter conditions, receiving white camouflage uniforms for assault operations.

This was reported by Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces, in a comment to Ukrinform.

“The enemy continues its active assault operations in the town of Huliaipole, trying to advance its assault groups as far as possible into the city itself, trying to bring in reinforcement groups to draw as many personnel as possible into this town and continue infiltrating the city streets. Over the past day, 17 combat clashes have been recorded in Huliaipole itself,” Voloshyn said.

In addition, according to the spokesman, the enemy is actively trying to advance in the settlements located on the Pokrovske (Dnipropetrovsk region) – Huliaipole logistics route. In particular, fierce fighting continues near the settlements of Dobropillia, Pryluky, and Varvarivka. The enemy is sparing no resources, bringing in reserves to capture these settlements and cut off this logistics route.

The enemy also continues to carry out air strikes on Huliaypole, using KABs.

“Every day, 25-30 guided aerial bombs are dropped there. In fact, the enemy is destroying all the buildings in this city,” Voloshyn said.

According to the spokesman, the enemy is also quite active in another direction – Oleksandrivka. Over the past day, the Russians have carried out about a dozen assaults there. This indicates that the assault units are being regrouped, the enemy is bringing in reserves, replenishing losses, and deploying assault groups to the front line in order to intensify its assault activities in a day or two.

“The enemy is losing 300-350 personnel every day in these two directions,” the spokesman said, adding that this amounts to about 100 assault groups per day.

According to Voloshyn, improved weather conditions have led to an increase in the use of enemy kamikaze drones.

“The days of high humidity, fog, and drizzle are over. Now the weather is more or less clear. And this has immediately led to a significant increase in enemy activity in the use of unmanned aerial vehicles. Over the past day, a total of 2,100 kamikaze drone strikes have been recorded in the south,” he said.

In addition, there has been an increase in the use of kamikaze drones and “Shaheds” on settlements located near the line of combat contact, namely Zaporizhzhia, Komyshuvakha, Kherson, Odesa, and others. The enemy is also quite active in carrying out air strikes on settlements along the line of combat contact. These include Novoiakovlivka, Varvarivka, Pryluky, Zaliznychne, and others.

“As for the artillery shelling of our positions, the enemy carried out almost 350 attacks in Zaporizhzhia, using more than 1,500 rounds of ammunition. And according to our intelligence, enemy artillery units have received additional 152 mm caliber ammunition for more active artillery support. That’s over half a thousand additional rounds of ammunition to support their assault groups and assault operations,” the spokesman said.

At the same time, Ukrainian defenders are actively conducting counter-battery warfare and have destroyed 19 enemy artillery systems in the past 24 hours alone. In addition, the Defense Forces have destroyed about 300 occupiers and 108 units of weapons and military equipment in the south over the past 24 hours.

Voloshyn also said that the enemy plans to intensify its assault activities during the cold season.

“According to our intelligence, several units that will be involved in assault operations have received white camouflage uniforms. This means that they are preparing to carry out assault operations in these areas when the snow falls. In particular, this applies to the Huliaypole direction and the Orikhiv direction, specifically on the section of the front near the village of Stepnogorsk, where the enemy is now quite actively trying to enter Primorske and advance further in order to finally dislodge the Defense Forces from Stepnohirsk,” Voloshyn said.

He added that the enemy is using infiltration groups and search and sabotage operations near Stepnohirsk, Stepove, and Lukianivske.

According to the spokesman, the enemy carried out two unsuccessful assaults on the Antonivka bridges over the past day.

“The enemy made two attempts to storm the Antonivka bridges, in particular the road bridge. Their attempts were unsuccessful, the enemy assault groups suffered losses and retreated,” Voloshyn said.

In addition, the enemy is actively conducting aerial reconnaissance. In particular, over the past day, more than 220 enemy reconnaissance drones were recorded, some of which were destroyed by Ukrainian air defense forces.

As reported by Ukrinform, 126 combat clashes took place on the front line over the past day, with the most intense fighting in the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole directions.
