INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Colts head into halftime trailing the 49ers, 24-17.
The Colts came out hot on offense, scoring touchdowns in their first two drives. Philip Rivers connected with Alec Pierce for the score on both drives, one from 20 yards out and the other from 16.
The Colts defense struggled though. The 49ers scored touchdowns on their first three possessions and scored points on their first four possessions in the first half.
Philip Rivers was 14-for-21 passing for 175 yards and two touchdowns in the first half.
Jonathan Taylor had seven carries for 24 yards.
Josh Downs was the Colts leading receiver with five catches for 65 yards. Pierce had three catches for 53 yards and two touchdowns.
The 49ers are set to receive the ball to start the second half.
