A shooting occurred on Sunday on Bondi Beach, one of the most popular tourist sites in Sydney, Australia. Many gunshots were heard, causing a significant panic among the people present.

According to a report from the Australian police, at least ten people have lost their lives. According to ABC News, the report includes nine civilian victims as well as one of the suspected shooters. The same source also mentions twelve injured people, including several police officers.

A significant security and rescue operation has been deployed on the scene to take care of the victims and secure the area.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese reacted on the social network X, expressing his emotions in response to the tragedy. “The scenes in Bondi are shocking and heartbreaking. The police and emergency services are on site and working to save lives. My thoughts are with all those affected,” he said.
