A total of 683,434 tourists visited the Paracas National Reserve through November 30, 2025, making it a must-visit tourist destination in Peru, located in Pisco province, Ica region.

The official told Andina News Agency that this protected natural area received around 21,000 tourists, both domestic and foreign, from December 6 to December 9.

“The Paracas National Reserve is a key tourist destination in Ica region for wildlife observation and its coastal landscapes,” Quiroz said.

“It received 683,434 visitors from January 1 to November 30 of this year; it was visited by 47,832 tourists in November alone,” he added.

The official explained that Paracas National Reserve covers over 335,000 hectares, of which 65% are marine areas and 35% are land zones (deserts, beaches, islands, and cliffs).

“To explore this marine-coastal treasure, unique for its biodiversity and geography, the Northern Tourist Circuit Route was established, with access through the district of Paracas. Visitors can go to the Supay Beach Viewpoint, La Catedral Viewpoint, see Playa Roja, the Isthmus of the Peninsula, climb to the Santa Maria Viewpoint, as well as swim at La Mina, Raspon, and Yumaque Beaches. This circuit also includes the Interpretation Center and the Birdwatching Viewpoint,” he detailed.

The official added that visiting hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (local time).

Quiroz noted that setting up campsites, consuming alcoholic beverages, and bringing pets are not permitted.

He explained that access to the Southern Tourist Circuit Route is through the Comatrana sector in Ica province, where visitors can go to Carhuaz Beach. This area is for recreational use only. Visiting hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

“I ask visitors to be responsible and act in harmony with the environment in order to conserve this marine-coastal ecosystem, considered the Galapagos of the South American Pacific,” he stated.

The Paracas National Reserve is an ideal destination for adventure lovers, as it offers options such as cycling and paragliding to enjoy the scenic beauty of this coastal desert.
