Patel said the members of the group were part of a group called the Turtle Island Liberation Front.

He said that they were allegedly planning IED bombing attacks on five different areas all over Los Angeles, KBAK reported.

He said that the FBI Department in Los Angeles will hold a press conference later in the day. Patel praised the FBI agents and partners at the Department of Justice for their work on the case.

Attorney General Pam Bondi also weighed in on the arrests.

“The Turtle Island Liberation Front—a far-left, and anti-capitalist group—was preparing to conduct a series of bombings against multiple targets in California beginning on New Year’s Eve,” she wrote on X. “The group also planned to target ICE agents and vehicles.”
