The National Oil Corporation’s (NOC) Exploration Department discussed last Wednesday (10 December) OMV’s 2025 exploration activities, including post-drill evaluation of discovery B1-106/4 and drilling results for well C1-106/4 in Contract Area 90/106.

This took place during an expanded technical meeting held at the NOC Tripoli headquarters, attended by the NOC’s Exploration Department Director, the Libya Projects Manager, the OMV Exploration Manager, and several technical experts from both sides.

The NOC reported that the Austrian company also expressed its readiness to discuss mechanisms for lifting force majeure on Contract Areas NC74, NC29, and C102, and to fulfil its exploration commitments in each, which include 2D and 3D seismic surveys and the drilling of exploration wells.
