Crowe Oman marks 30th anniversary; Muscat to host Crowe Global’s 2026 EMEA meet

MUSCAT : Crowe Oman celebrated its 30th anniversary on Monday with the launch of the 12th revised edition of its Doing Business in Oman guide, developed in collaboration with Invest Oman. The guide was officially unveiled by His Excellency Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry & Investment Promotion, at a ceremony held at Crowne Plaza Hotel, Qurum.

One of the Sultanate’s leading accounting and consulting firms, Crowe Oman marked the milestone in the presence of dignitaries, ambassadors, business leaders, clients, partners and its team members, reflecting three decades of growth, partnerships and regulatory engagement.

Welcoming guests, Managing Partner Dr. Davis Kallukaran expressed pride in the firm’s journey since its establishment in 1995 and thanked the Government and people of Oman for their trust. He praised clients, partners and employees for their continued commitment and reaffirmed the firm’s focus on excellence, innovation and community contribution.

The event also featured a Founders Recognition Ceremony honouring the visionaries behind the firm’s inception, alongside Long Service Awards for employees with over 10 to 20 years of service—highlighting what the firm described as a culture of loyalty and continuity.

His Excellency Minister Al Yousef attended as Chief Guest, while His Highness Sayyid Hamoud bin Kais bin Tarek Al Said served as Guest of Honour.

In his keynote remarks, Dr. Kallukaran announced that Crowe Global has selected Muscat to host its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regional conference from May 6–8, 2026—the first time the event will take place in Oman.

“More than 150 partners and leaders from member firms representing over 100 countries will attend the conference,” he said, adding that the decision underscores Oman’s rising prominence in global markets.

Kamel Abouchacra, CEO of Crowe Global, said Muscat is an ideal destination for fostering collaboration and accelerating growth across the network. He commended Crowe Oman’s 30-year journey as a reflection of “quality, innovation and client-first values.”

Filipa Correia, EMEA Regional Executive, said the gathering would enhance knowledge exchange on technology, innovation, service delivery and talent development.

Crowe Oman, established by Dr. Davis Kallukaran, Mrs. Muna Al Ghazali and Dr. Khalid Maniar, has grown into a 10-partner firm with more than 100 professionals across audit, taxation, risk advisory, corporate finance, technology, telecom, sustainability, ESG, hospitality and leisure.

The Oman entity is also the only Crowe firm in the Middle East licensed under Horwath HTL to provide hotel, travel and leisure consulting.

Speakers including Zayd Maniar, Managing Partner of Crowe UAE, and Muna Al Ghazali reflected on the firm’s contribution to regional collaboration and its role in supporting businesses across the GCC.

The event also showcased Oman’s strategic advantages, from its location spanning the Gulf, Indian Ocean and Asian and African trade routes to its investment-friendly policies under Vision 2040. With diversification across logistics, manufacturing, tourism, ICT and green energy, the country is positioning itself as an increasingly attractive destination for foreign investment.

The launch of the Doing Business in Oman guide, coupled with the announcement of the 2026 EMEA conference, was framed as reinforcing Oman’s role as a competitive, globally connected business hub.
