How To Check 2025 KJSEA Results Online

The Ministry of Education has officially released the 2025 Kenya Junior Secondary Education Assessment (KJSEA) results today, marking a key milestone for learners transitioning to senior school under the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).

Over 1.13 million candidates sat for the assessment in October, and the results are now accessible through multiple official channels.

Accessing Results Online

The Ministry has enabled parents to access the results of their children through the Ministry’s official portal:

  1. Visit the Portal
    Go to https://selection.education.go.ke/my-selections.
  2. Enter Assessment Number
Input the learner’s unique assessment number in the designated field.
  3. Submit and View Results
Click Submit to display the full results, including subject scores and placement details.
  4. Download or Print
Save a copy of the result slip for future reference. Schools will also provide printed copies.

The portal is optimized for mobile and desktop access. However, due to high traffic, users are advised to retry if the page loads slowly.

Alternative Methods

  • School Collection
Schools have received official result slips. Parents and guardians can collect them directly for verification and guidance.

Placement and Next Steps

Senior school placement letters will be issued within a week.

Learners will join pathways aligned with their performance and interests—Arts and Sports, STEM, or Social Sciences.

Reporting for Grade 10 is scheduled for January 12, 2026.

The Ministry emphasizes that placement decisions are based on performance, learner preference, and available capacity in senior schools.

Parents are encouraged to review placement details promptly and prepare for the transition.

Security Advisory

The Ministry warns against fraudulent SMS or USSD codes claiming to offer early or premium access to results.

Official channels remain the online portal and schools, with the Ministry warning that any other source should be treated as suspicious.

Significance of This Release

This year’s KJSEA marks the second national rollout under CBC, replacing the traditional KCPE system.

The assessment evaluates competencies rather than rote memorization, aligning education with practical skills and holistic development.
