 AYV News, December 4, 2025

Sierra Leone has officially welcomed a high-level Russian Humanitarian Medical Team for a nationwide medical outreach running from 6th to 26th December 2025.

The mission will provide life-saving services including obstetrics, neonatal care, emergency medicine, anesthesia, dentistry, oncology, and reconstructive surgery.

The visiting specialists will operate across Freetown, Bonthe, Bo, and Kenema, ensuring thousands benefit from advanced diagnostic and surgical care.

Authorities say the initiative reflects deepening health cooperation and aims to strengthen critical care delivery nationwide.

Citizens are encouraged to access services as scheduled. For enquiries, the Ministry of Health remains the primary contact.
