Mitur showcases “Subway to Paradise” campaign at New York’s Grand Central Station

New York.- Tourism Minister David Collado launched a promotional tour in New York on Wednesday to boost the Dominican Republic’s positioning in its main tourist source market. The initiative featured the “Subway to Paradise” campaign at Grand Central Station, one of the busiest transit hubs in the city, with over 750,000 daily commuters.

Joined by business leaders and government officials, Collado inaugurated the event and highlighted the importance of New York, which sends more than 1.6 million visitors to the Dominican Republic each year. He emphasized the need to continue strengthening ties with this key market.

As part of the campaign, running through December 28, five subway cars have been wrapped with striking images of Dominican destinations. The branding effort also extends throughout Grand Central Station, expected to welcome more than 11.6 million visitors by year’s end.
