Georgia joins SICI General Assembly to boost education quality

The Deputy Director of the National Center for the Development of Quality Education of Georgia, Ketevan Kobakhidze, and Mari Mgeladze, an employee of the Center for Planning, Research, and International Relations Service, took part in the General Assembly organized by the Association of National and Regional Inspectorates of Europe (SICI) in The Hague, Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The National Center for Education Quality Development of Georgia shared the glimpses of the General Assembly on its official Facebook Page on December 3, 2025, Wednesday. The Center also shared a small note about the event along with its highlights.

The participants of the General Assembly, representatives of the National Center for the Development of Quality Education, during the second seminar of SICI 2025 in Georgia, were introduced to the participants of the General Assembly, the results achieved in ensuring the quality of general education, taking into account both local and international experience.

During the event, participants discussed SICI’s strategic plan and planned activities for the next year, which will help deepen the close relationship and cooperation of SICI member organizations.

100 representatives of up to 30 countries participated in the General Assembly. Among them are representatives of the education sector and international experts.

The National Center for the Development of Quality Education became a member of the Association of National and Regional Inspectorates of Europe (SICI) in 2022.

Membership in this organization is an important step for the country in the direction of internationalization of general education, participation in interesting studies related to external assessment for Georgia, sharing advanced international experience in the field of external assessment, and raising awareness of the activities of the National Center for Development of Education Quality.
