MOH opens new Travelers’ Clinic at Farwaniya Hospital to boost preventive services

The Ministry of Health has announced the opening of a new Travelers’ Health Clinic at the Farwaniya Hospital, as part of its continued efforts to strengthen guidance and preventive services related to travel-associated diseases.

With this addition, the number of traveler health clinics across the country has risen to eight, strategically distributed among the health governorates to ensure accessibility and improve the quality of care available to citizens and residents, reports Al-Rai daily.

The ministry noted that several of these clinics operate on a two-shift system—morning and evening—to better accommodate travelers’ schedules and provide greater flexibility for booking appointments, vaccinations, and preventive treatments.

Officials emphasized the importance of visiting travel health clinics well ahead of any planned trip, particularly for travelers heading to less developed or higher-risk regions, to ensure they receive all necessary vaccinations, preventive medications, and medical advice before departure.

The ministry encourages all travelers to make use of this specialized national service, explore the interactive traveler map available on its website for destination-specific health requirements, and contact the nearest Travelers’ Health Clinic to learn more about available services.
