Prayagraj: Several lawyers staged a sit-in in front of Dhoomanganj police station on GT road, blocking the vehicular movement on Dhoomanganj-Sulemsarai road, on Kanpur-Prayagraj highway, for around six hours on Thursday. Protesting against alleged misbehaviour of the SHO (Dhoomanganj), the lawyers demanded the removal of the cop. They claimed that the SHO misbehaved with a lawyer when he went to lodge an FIR in connection with a fraud case.Upon being alerted, senior police officials, along with forces, rushed to the spot and attempted to pacify the agitating lawyers. The lawyers later dispersed after the cops assured action in the matter. A senior cop told TOI that the lawyers were agitated over the attitude of the Dhoomanganj SHO, alleging that he misbehaved with a lawyer. They were demanding the removal of the SHO from the police station.
