Maju Motors Sdn Bhd marked a major milestone with the preview of Denza, unveiling the premium brand’s arrival in Brunei during the BIBD Mega Karnival at Taman Mahkota Jubli Emas.
As a premium marque jointly developed by BYD, Denza blends advanced new energy technology with refined craftsmanship and modern luxury. Its introduction signals a new chapter in Brunei’s premium mobility landscape, offering elevated comfort, intelligent design and next-generation performance.
The highlight of the event was the Denza D9, the brand’s flagship luxury MPV and the first fully battery-electric MPV to be introduced in Brunei. Engineered for executive-level comfort, the D9 delivers powerful performance paired with high-end refinement.

The all-wheel-drive performance variant produces 368 horsepower and 470 Nm of torque, achieving zero to one hundred kilometres per hour in 6.9 seconds with a full-electric range of up to 580 kilometres. Inside, passengers are treated to a first-class cabin featuring plush seating, premium materials, advanced rear comfort controls, and exceptional cabin quietness.

The D9 also features BYD’s DiSus-C Comfort Suspension System, which provides real-time adaptive damping to enhance ride comfort and stability.
Maju Motors also introduced the Denza B5, a high-performance luxury plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. Designed to balance power, efficiency, and sophistication, the B5 offers a refined hybrid driving experience.

The premium dual-mode off-road variant delivers 578 horsepower and 760 Nm of torque and is capable of accelerating from zero to one hundred kilometres per hour in 4.8 seconds. It offers an NEDC range of up to 975 kilometres.

The B5 incorporates BYD’s DiSus-P Predictive Suspension System, featuring intelligent hydraulic body control that improves handling across varying terrains. Its spacious cabin, crafted with premium materials, highlights Denza’s focus on comfort and contemporary luxury.
The launch was officiated by Minister of Home Affairs Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman.
