Bi Rain closed day one of ‘Waterbomb’ on Saturday with a performance running from 9:30 pm to 10:00 pm, following a line-up featuring Min, Hieuthuhai, Tempest, Kwon Eun Ji, and Sandara Park.
Although the festival had gone on for hours, the crowd roared back to life the moment the Korean pop icon stepped on stage in an all-black outfit, delivering a string of hits that defined his early-2000s rise to pan-Asian stardom.
Throughout the set, Bi Rain maintained his signature confidence and intensity, pairing sharp choreography with powerful water-jet staging, an element long associated with his outdoor shows.
The atmosphere reached its peak when he removed his shirt mid-performance, revealing defined abs and a muscular frame that sent social media into a frenzy.

A veteran of ‘Waterbomb’ events across Asia, Bi Rain most recently performed at the Macau edition on August 11.
He has also maintained a long connection with Vietnamese audiences.
His first performance in Ho Chi Minh City dates back to 2006, followed by a return in 2007 with the ‘Rain’s Coming’ liveshow.
In 2012, he appeared in Hanoi for the 20th anniversary of Vietnam-South Korea diplomatic ties, returned in 2016 for the Miss Vietnam finale, and again in 2019 for the ‘We*Friend Concert.’
Born Jung Ji Hoon in 1982, Bi Rain rose to prominence with the album ‘It’s Raining’ (2004), becoming a defining figure of K-pop’s early global expansion.
Alongside his music career, he has acted in major dramas such as ‘Full House’ and appeared in Hollywood films including ‘Speed Racer’ and ‘Ninja Assassin.’
Despite his fame, he is known for his modest lifestyle and his well-publicized partnership with his wife, actress Kim Tae Hee.
