Prairie Boutique Returns for 44th Installment

The highly curated craft show and vintage market has been in Horace for a little over a decade now.

HORACE, N.D. (KVRR) – The early Winter chill has put people in the mood for holiday items – and there might have been no better place to get them than at the Prairie Boutique.

It was the 44th annual boutique, which has been at the Community Center in Horace for the past 12 years.

From 8 A.M. to 4 P.M. on Saturday, November 8, an estimated 1,200 shoppers roamed around checking out homemade crafts and carefully curated vintage items.

There was also a homemade lunch available for purchase, alongside Robin’s signature caramel rolls.

Event organizers say the colder weather definitely set the tone for the day.

“Yeah, it was frosty, and it does help our sales when it gets colder,” said Connie Bruse, boutique curator. “We’ve had some gorgeous days of 60s, and [that means] they’re out doing yard work or playing football. So it was kind of like all the stars aligned this year.”

Next weekend, the 33rd Annual Homespun Holiday Show takes place in Breckenridge, featuring many of the same vendors from the boutique.
