The Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago (CBTT) has named the recipients of the 2025/2026 De La Rue Scholarships, an annual initiative aimed at developing expertise in economic and financial fields.
UWI postgraduate students Sarah Traboulay and Justin Rampersad, were officially presented with the scholarships at a ceremony held at the Bank recently.
Traboulay is currently pursuing an M.Sc. in Economics, while Rampersad is enrolled in the M.Sc. in Financial Economics programme.
The scholarship is jointly funded by the Central Bank and De La Rue, United Kingdom, and is offered annually to UWI students.
The award is tied to the Bank’s long-standing commitment to developing the country’s human capital. In addition to financial support for their studies, the scholarship includes a mandatory work component.
Upon completing their degrees, both scholars will join the Central Bank for a three-month internship.
