Kaydon Brandt sent Susquenita field hockey into the PIAA semi-finals with a go-ahead goal late in the fourth quarter of a 1-0 win over Lake Lehman Saturday.
This marks Susquenita’s second straight one-score win in the PIAA championships after the Blackhawks beat Northwestern Lehigh in overtime in the first round.
Neither team could find an advantage despite Susquenita holding Lake Lehman without a shot entering the fourth quarter. Brandt broke the tie off a penalty corner with just under 11 minutes remaining in the contest.
Susquenita will face Oley Valley, who beat Faith Christian 4-1 Saturday, in the semi-final round on Nov. 11.
