The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet) reported that most of the country will see mostly sunny skies during the morning.
However, in the afternoon, due to local effects, wind, and the indirect impact of a trough, scattered showers are forecast across different locations along the Caribbean coast, which will be moderate at times, with isolated thunderstorms and possible wind gusts.
These provinces are: La Altagracia, La Romana, San Pedro de Macorís, San Cristóbal, Peravia, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, Monte Plata, Duarte, Azua, La Vega, Santiago, San Juan, Elías Piña, and Dajabón.
These rains will also extend into the night for the municipalities of Greater Santo Domingo, Barahona, and Santiago Rodríguez.
Local forecasts
In Greater Santo Domingo, there will be scattered clouds and scattered showers in the afternoon. The minimum temperature will be between 21°C and 23°C, and the maximum between 30°C and 32°C.
