The Governor of Ahmadi and Chairman of the Green Urban Development Initiatives Committee, Sheikh Hamoud Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, announced that the Entrepreneurs Forum will be held tomorrow (Sunday) at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in 360 Mall.
The event will be attended by several ministers and more than 100 entrepreneurs, reflecting a national effort to encourage initiative, social responsibility, and environmental preservation in Kuwait.
Speaking to KUNA, Sheikh Hamoud Al-Jaber said the forum will feature participants from Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) subsidiaries, along with private and international companies that have introduced or plan to present initiatives and donations for beautification and greening projects across the country. These include ornamental plantings along highways and in public parks, aimed at enhancing Kuwait’s aesthetic appeal and advancing sustainable urban development, reports Al-Jarida daily.
He emphasized that the forum seeks to inspire both individuals and companies — public and private — to engage in projects that expand green spaces and beautify public areas, reinforcing Kuwait’s commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
The Green Urban Development Initiatives Committee reiterated its readiness to collaborate with all interested entities, including oil companies, private sector participants, and international firms, to develop landscaping projects, murals, monuments, and decorative works that highlight Kuwait’s cultural and environmental identity.
The committee operates under Ministerial Resolution No. 40 of 2025, issued by Dr. Subaih Al-Mukhaizeem, Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Minister of Finance, and Acting Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment.
The committee is chaired by Sheikh Hamoud Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, with the Secretary-General of the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters serving as Vice-Chairman.
Its members include senior representatives from key government bodies such as the Ministry of Public Works, Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources, Public Authority for Housing Welfare, Public Authority for the Environment, Public Authority for Roads and Land Transport, Kuwait Municipality, Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Ministry of Social Affairs, General Traffic Department, and Kuwait University, as well as the Voluntary Work Center.
The forum is expected to serve as a platform for collaboration, innovation, and community engagement, advancing Kuwait’s vision for greener, more sustainable urban development.
