LARAMIE — Let’s take a look at some of Wyoming’s football uniforms throughout the years.
When it comes to favorites, personally, the game begins and ends with the 1996 threads that Marcus Harris, Josh Wallwork and Brian Lee wore. Love the big lettering across the front and the stripes on the arms.
To me, that’s classic.
I might be in the minority here, but I was also into the plethora of different looks Dave Christensen implemented from 2009-13. I’m a big fan of Nike threads, for one. I also loved the brown matte helmets, the gold and state flag Steamboat logos. Could’ve gone without the duck wings on the shoulders and that camouflaged setup, but, hey, they tried some things.
Those 1960’s jerseys with the stripes over the shoulder are awesome. I even liked the plain-Jane look of the Dana Dimel era, especially with the helmet stickers.
Can we bring those back, please?

In my opinion, the setup this current team wears is sharp. They are an ode to the past but also modern. Unlike most of you, I’m all in on the brown pants. I even liked the coal-inspired duds — for a game. Hopefully basketball will be doing the same.
Who can forget the prairie-gold days?
It wasn’t the worst, I say, but, just — why?
Will never forget how special that Las Vegas Bowl was in 2004. Corey Bramlet, Jovon Bouknight and Co., rocked the white tops inside Sam Boyd Stadium during that 24-21 victory over UCLA.
