The Meteorological Department has forecast that Kuwait will be affected by an extension of a high-pressure system from the northwest, bringing with it a relatively hot and dry air mass.
This will result in warm weather during the day and cool to cold conditions at night over the weekend, accompanied by light to moderate northwesterly to variable winds.
The Acting Director of the Meteorological Department, Dharar Al-Ali, told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that Thursday’s weather would be warm with light to moderate northwesterly winds ranging from 6 to 24 kilometers per hour, along with some high clouds.
He added that maximum temperatures are expected to range between 30 and 32 degrees Celsius, while the sea will be slight, with waves of 1 to 2 feet.
Al-Ali explained that Thursday night would be cool to cold and partly cloudy, with light winds between 6 and 22 kilometers per hour. The minimum temperatures are expected to fall between 9 and 11 degrees Celsius, and the sea condition will remain slight, with waves reaching up to 2 feet.
He further noted that Friday’s weather would be warm and partly cloudy, with light to moderate southeasterly winds ranging from 6 to 26 kilometers per hour.
The maximum temperatures will range between 29 and 31 degrees Celsius, while the sea will be slight to moderate, with waves of 1 to 3 feet. By Friday night, the temperature will drop again, remaining cool to cold and partly cloudy, with southeasterly to variable winds at 6 to 24 kilometers per hour, and waves of 1 to 2 feet.
Regarding Saturday’s weather, Al-Ali said conditions will continue to be warm and partly cloudy, with light to moderate southeasterly winds ranging from 6 to 24 kilometers per hour.
The expected highs will be between 28 and 30 degrees Celsius, while the sea state will range from slight to moderate, with waves of 1 to 3 feet. Saturday night will see cool to cold and partly cloudy weather, with light winds at 6 to 22 kilometers per hour, and sea waves remaining at 1 to 2 feet.
The department advised the public to enjoy the pleasant weekend weather but to remain cautious during the cooler nights, particularly in open areas where temperatures may drop further.
