Parliament to Debate 17 Bills, Including 2026 National Budget

The Second Ordinary Session of Parliament is set to open tomorrow, with a total of 17 bills listed for debate.

Among these bills is the 2026 National Budget, officially known as the Appropriation Bill, which seeks parliamentary approval for more than VT64 billion to cover the government’s programs and operations for the upcoming year.

One of the key new bills to be introduced during this session is the Digital Transformation Bill. This legislation aims to establish a National Digital Transformation Steering Committee and outline clear rules for ICT providers to operate under consistent laws and policies.

The remaining 15 bills consist of a mix of amendments to existing laws and new legislations, which will be discussed throughout the session.
