Kenyan Prince Acts After Traffic Police Impound His Mercedes-Benz GLE

A Mercedes-Benz GLE 350 linked to popular forex trader and TikTok personality Raymond Omosa, popularly known as “Kenyan Prince,” has been impounded by traffic police in Nairobi.

Videos seen by The Kenya Times on Wednesday, November 5, showed the luxury car parked within the Industrial Area Police Station, where officers reportedly towed it after a roadside inspection.

According to police and court documents, the vehicle was being driven by a mechanic along Lusaka Road in Nairobi when it was intercepted. Authorities allege the car was both unregistered and uninsured at the time.

The mechanic has since been arraigned before the Milimani Law Courts, facing four charges under the Traffic Act and the Insurance (Motor Vehicle Third Party Risks) Act.

The first charge relates to driving an unregistered motor vehicle, contrary to Section 6(1) as read with Section 14 of the Traffic Act, Cap 403. Court documents state that on November 5, 2025, at about 9:49 a.m., he drove the unregistered Mercedes-Benz on Lusaka Road.

The second charge involves driving an uninsured motor vehicle, contrary to Section 4(1) as read with Section 4(2) of the Insurance (Motor Vehicle Third Party Risks) Act, Cap 405. The prosecution alleges that on the same day and at the same location, he operated the vehicle without a valid insurance certificate.

The third count accuses him of failing to display a certificate of insurance, contrary to Section 9(1) as read with Section 17 of the same Act. In addition, the fourth charge states that the accused drove on a public road without a valid driving licence, in contravention of Section 30(1) as read with Section 30(7) of the Traffic Act, Cap 403.

Other videos also captured Kenyan Prince at the Milimani Law Courts. Kenyan Prince has a collection of luxury cars that includes a Mercedes-Benz C-Class convertible, a Porsche Cayenne, and a BMW M8 Competition. He has been seen in these vehicles, often sharing updates or being featured in social media posts about them.

The controversial forex trader in September this year once again set social media buzzing after claiming he had bought a brand-new Porsche. Posting on his Instagram, Prince shared photos of the luxury car, presenting it as the latest addition to his growing collection. The reveal quickly stirred reactions online, with supporters and critics weighing in.

Kenyan Prince involved in a minor accident

In February this year, the flamboyant trader was involved in an accident in his Mercedes-Benz GLE. In a video that went viral on social media, Kenyan Prince was captured having an altercation with the owner of the car that had collided with his, a red Mazda Demio.

Onlookers in the video were heard urging him to take a photo of the scene and proceed to clear the traffic snarl-up that had begun forming, arguing that it was a minor collision.

Others urged both drivers to move their cars and settle the issue elsewhere, as they were inconveniencing other road users.

Prince, on the other hand, could be heard insisting on calling the police. He stated that he was trained to always call the police in case of an accident.
