Anthony Navarro scored the lone goal of the match, leading fourth-seeded Nutley to a 1-0 victory over 13th-seeded Matawan in the first round of the North 2, Group 3 tournament in Nutley.
Sebastian Henao was credited with the assist, while Nicolas Oramas recorded three saves in the shutout.
Gaven Veres recorded 15 saves for Matawan (7-14).
Nutley (11-6-3) advances to the quarterfinals for the first time since 2019 and will host fifth-seeded Colonia on Friday at 11 a.m.
