4 November 2025 – Eleven Croatian companies have made it onto the SEE TOP 100 list of the largest firms in Southeast Europe for 2025, according to the latest report published by SeeNews.

Leading the pack is INA, ranked ninth overall in the region with revenues of €3.8 billion, making it the highest-placed Croatian company on the list.

Other Croatian firms featured include Hrvatska elektroprivreda, Konzum Plus, Prvo plinarsko društvo, Lidl Hrvatska, Petrol, HEP-Proizvodnja, Spar Hrvatska, Plodine, Hrvatski Telekom, and Pliva Hrvatska.

The SEE TOP 100 ranks the region’s largest companies based on total revenues for 2024. The publication also includes separate rankings for the largest banks and insurers in Southeast Europe.

Romania’s OMV Petrom, majority-owned by Austrian OMV, retained its position as the largest company in the region for the fourth consecutive year.

Despite a 13% drop in revenue to €6.7 billion, the company’s net profit rose by 5% to €833 million, keeping it at the top of the ranking.

The report highlights that economic growth in the region has slowed, with reduced industrial production and limited investment. As a result, the revenues of the largest companies in Southeast Europe fell for the second consecutive year, though only slightly.

The combined revenue of the top 100 companies in 2024 reached €198.4 billion, down 3.2% compared to the previous year. Profitability was more affected, with total net profits dropping 16% to €8.8 billion.

Retail and wholesale sectors, however, had another strong year in 2024. Rising disposable incomes boosted sales, with these sectors generating over a quarter of the total revenues among SEE TOP 100 companies.

About SEE TOP 100
SEE TOP 100 is an annual ranking of the largest companies in Southeast Europe based on total revenues. Data for 2024 and 2023 were obtained from companies’ non-consolidated annual reports.

The ranking covers non-financial companies registered in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, North Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, and Slovenia.

Banks, investment brokers, insurers, and real estate investment trusts (REITs) are excluded, as total revenue is not an accurate measure of performance.

Holding companies are represented by their subsidiaries. All data are sourced from national trade registers, stock exchanges, government and corporate websites, industry regulators, local business information providers, and the companies themselves.
