ZAGREB, 4 November 2025 – Croatia is set to take a step in postal innovation, as every citizen will receive a digital postal mailbox next year, announced at a conference marking 26 years of independent operations of Hrvatska Pošta (Croatian Post).
The event, titled “26 Years Ahead of Time”, brought together guests from both the public and private sectors to showcase the company’s latest digital initiatives and its plans for the future, with a strong focus on in-house innovation.
Digital Mailboxs Coming
Hrvatska Pošta CEO Ivan Čulo outlined plans for the digital postal mailbox, which will be available to all citizens in 2026.
The mailbox will provide information on parcels and registered mail, allow users to redirect packages, and deliver documents or invoices electronically.
Čulo described the initiative as a transformation of Croatia’s traditional postal services into a fully digital experience.

Čulo also highlighted preparations for the upcoming package season, starting in November and peaking during Black Friday, when up to 150,000 parcels are expected daily.
Investments in technology, capacity, and staff salaries were cited as crucial factors that have positioned Hrvatska Pošta as a leading e-commerce logistics provider in Croatia.

In addition to technological innovation, the conference celebrated social responsibility. The 600th insurance policy from the Hrvatska Pošta Foundation, worth €10,000, was awarded to Alex Bobnjarić, an 18-year-old resident of the Caritas Home of the Zagreb Archdiocese.
The life insurance policy will support Alex as he transitions from care to independent living.
Sister Jelena Lončar, director of Caritas Zagreb, encouraged other companies to participate in the foundation, noting: “A life insurance policy may be a small financial contribution for businesses, but for many residents, it may be one of the first meaningful gifts in their lives.”
