PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A teenager wounded during a party at an Airbnb was among 4 people injured and two killed in 5 separate shootings over the weekend in Portland.
Around midnight Sunday night, the 19-year-old was shot at the house near NE Thompson Court and 159th.
Crystal Flores, who lives near the Airbnb with her husband, told KOIN 6 News they could hear the party going on for a while.

“They were all being really loud and just kind of seemed like there was like a party going on,” Flores said. “And then at 12:15, that’s when my husband heard the gunshot, and he called the police and said that he heard the shots.”
When officers arrived, they said they found the wounded teen in a car near the property. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
KOIN 6 News was not able to contact the owners of the Airbnb for comment on the shooting or the party.
Gunfire erupted throughout Sunday and early Monday across Portland.
Around 2:30 a.m., a man and woman were shot at NW 9th and Couch. About two hours later, a man was shot and killed in a parking lot on SW 3rd Avenue. At 9:30 p.m., another man was killed in a shooting on North Whitaker Road. The final shooting happened around 3 a.m. on North Swift Way.

Portland Police Bureau Chief Bob Day said shootings are down 42% this year and homicide arrests are up. But he admitted the calls for service increased 8% this year even though their number of officers responding to those calls are down.
“One of our primary goals in the Police Bureau is to reduce crime and the fear of crime,” Day told KOIN 6 News. “We’re asking for that increased vigilance, increased awareness in that area to try and provide that level of safety that Portlanders expect.”
No one has been arrested yet in connection with any of the 5 shootings. Investigations for all are open and active and anyone with information is asked to call Portland police.
