Prime Minister James Marape left Port Moresby early this morning to attend the COP 30 World Climate Conference in Belém, Brazil.
Prime Minister Marape attended the conference to deliver Papua New Guinea’s position in the World COP 30.
He will also present the country’s stance on addressing climate change agendas, both local and international, at this prestigious global forum.
He officially announced that Papua New Guinea will host the APEC Summit in 2033.
He announced this after commending Deputy Prime Minister John Rosso for successfully attending the 2025 APEC Summit in South Korea last week.
Marape also announced that PNG will be assisting Australia to host the 31st COP Climate Conference.
