HONOLULU (KHON2) — Hawaiʻi Foodbank is set to hold another emergency food distribution for families impacted by the government shutdown.
The emergency food distribution event is being held on Monday, Nov. 3, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Waipiʻo Soccer Complex.
To be eligible for food at the distribution, you must:
- Be a current SNAP recipient.
 - Be a federal government employee who is not getting paid or not working.
 - Meet the income eligibility guidelines through the Emergency Food Assistance Program.

The distribution is intended to support households that are feeling direct impacts from the federal government shutdown, such as furloughs and missed paychecks. It is also meant to help those who are seeing a reduction or interruption in their SNAP benefits.
Registration is required for the event. You can register at the Hawaiʻi Food Bank website. The website also has a calendar for upcoming food distribution events.
