From today’s New York Times crossword: “Way to manipulate public opinion through fear” = “scaretactic.” Remember when Trump’s first term saw him cutting aid to El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras despite being told that would increase the number of desperate people at our border? That is what happened and then he went on a rampage against the people he caused to be there. Fear can limit our intelligence. Be brave and face reality. Excess wealth does not increase happiness as much as poverty detracts from in. This planet can support us all if we can learn to share.
