Drive-thru food drive held in Newport

NEWPORT, R.I. (WPRI) — A drive-through food drive was held in Newport on Sunday.

Starting at 10 a.m., people were able to drive up and drop off food at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center.

On top of the donations, the center added that “Our generous friends, Doug and Nancy, will match your donations at $2 per lb. and dollar for dollar up to $15,000. “
