Congress MLCs Balmoor Venkat and Addanki Dayakar have lodged a complaint with the Returning Officer of the Jubilee Hills constituency alleging violation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) by some television channels in the name of election survey.

In the complaint, they said that a person related to a poll agency was spreading a pre-poll opinion survey related to Jubilee Hills. They said the video was misleading and clearly violated the Election Commission of India’s (ECI) guidelines, which prohibit the publication or broadcast of pre-poll and exit polls during the election period.

They argued that such content could influence voter sentiment, potentially disturb communal harmony, and provoke unrest, and urged authorities to take immediate legal action against the team involved in it.
