Fatal T-Bone Crash in Wells County

Authorities say the collision took place at an uncontrolled intersection where both vehicles failed to yield to the other.

WELLS COUNTY, N.D. (KVRR) – Mark Mears, a 47-year-old man from Harvey, has died following a T-bone crash that took place a few miles north of the city.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says that just before 1 A.M. on Friday, October 31, Harvey was driving a Nissan Titan eastbound on 29th Street NE. 23-year-old Ethan Arnold, also of Harvey, was traveling southbound on 39th Avenue NE in a Case Combine.

The intersection of 29th and 39th is uncontrolled, and neither vehicle yielded, which caused the crash.

Mears was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene of the crash. Arnold was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation by the NDHP.
