A warm sun fades through the trees as children giggle and cheer for their tricks and treats. The glow of the carved pumpkins illuminate the creative costumes as hundreds of trick-or-treaters wander by. It’s October 31st, and Pumpkin Alley is in full swing.
The area set off along Mooreland Avenue in the Briarwood neighborhood has been a popular trick-or-treat spot for years. Homeowners adore the tradition, and many see it as essentially a block party of sorts. The tradition of placing carved pumpkins in the median of the avenue blossomed over the past twenty-so years and now has turned the road into the place for trick-or-treating.
