This year, bands from various schools, colleges, and universities will perform at the three-day Youth Festival, starting November 6th. Cultural performances, food stalls, drone kabaddi, and a sports tech hackathon will also be highlights. Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya finalized preparations in a meeting with officials on Friday.
It was stated that this year’s Youth Festival will feature a blend of traditional cultural performances and modern youth music and dance. To maximize youth participation, bands from various private and government universities in the state, as well as prestigious schools in Dehradun, have been invited.
Registration for the festival is progressing rapidly. Food stalls, handmade textiles, and other stalls will be on display. Drone kabaddi and the traditional game of Pitthu will also be held. Folk dance, poetry writing, speeches, and folk song competitions will also be held. Recreational games like cock fights will be held, and youth will also showcase their talents in the sports tech hackathon.
