Crystal methamphetamine that was found by customs agents at the Post Office Tuesday afternoon were hidden among clothing items.
A 34-year old man who picked up the box at the Post Office is being questioned in connection with the drug bust. KHJ News understands that he is an employee of the American Samoa Power Authority and was picking up mail for ASPA. Its understood that the box in which the drugs were found came through a private mail box.
According to customs sources the drugs were concealed in clear plastic wrap and hidden inside the clothing items.
Acting Commissioner of Public Safety Falanaipupu Taase Sagapolutele told KHJ News that police are now conducting an investigation and declined to give any further information until the investigation is completed.
