PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man was shot and killed in NE Portland on Monday night, and police are searching for the suspect.

The shooting took place just after 5:30 p.m.

Portland police responded to the shooting in the 4500 block of Northeast 125th Place in the Argay Terrace Neighborhood.

Officers arrived to find a man who had been shot. He was taken to an area hospital but succumbed to his injuries, according to police.

Authorities say the suspect left the scene and no arrests were made.

During the investigation, Northeast 125th Place is closed between Northeast Sandy Boulevard and Northeast Prescott Drive.
