The University of Luxembourg, Spuerkeess, CFL Group, Luxair and Post Luxembourg are the most attractive employers in Luxembourg, according to the latest Randstad employer brand study released Monday.
Compared to last year, the same five companies remain in the top positions. The University of Luxembourg and BCEE have held steady at first and second place.
The main changes occurred in the middle of the ranking. Groupe CFL moved up from fifth place in 2024 to third in 2025, while Groupe Post Luxembourg dropped from third to fifth. Luxair remained in fourth position.
The study, conducted among 1,511 employees in Luxembourg and neighbouring countries, explored what makes an employer appealing and how employees perceive their current work experience.
What qualities do you value in an employer?
Work-life balance is a priority
While salary remains the most important factor for employees, the 2025 survey shows that work-life balance has risen, overtaking job security to become the second-most important criterion when evaluating an employer.
Work-life balance is also the main reason employees consider leaving their current jobs. Despite generally competitive salaries in Luxembourg, dissatisfaction with flexibility and overall quality of life represents the primary risk to talent retention.
Jobless rate hits 6.1% in Luxembourg, highest since pandemic
Eight out of ten employees rate their employer positively for job security and financial stability, but fewer than half express satisfaction with work-life balance and workplace atmosphere. Office workers tend to view their salary and job security more positively than manual or technical staff, the study revealed.
While two-thirds of employees feel they are treated fairly in terms of pay, fewer than one-third believe their employer is equitable regarding recruitment, promotions and access to development opportunities. Minorities continue to report more obstacles than their non-minority colleagues, the report found.
AI adoption on the rise
The use of artificial intelligence in the Luxembourg workplace has grown, with a 7% increase in employees using AI regularly, the report found.
Two-thirds of workers expect AI to affect their jobs, and overall perception of AI has become more positive, particularly among Generation Z, where 31% report regular use of AI tools.
