INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — An investigation is underway after a fire caused significant damage to a home in Westfield on Saturday night.
The fire began at a home on Amberleaf Trail at around 10:15 p.m. Saturday, the Westfield Fire Department says.
When firefighters arrive, flames were shooting through the roof of the residence.
Crews worked for an hour to extinguish the blaze and successfully prevented it from spreading to neighboring homes.
Westfield Fire Department says the homeowners were alerted to the fire by smoke alarms and got out of the house safely.
While the house sustained significant fire, smoke, and water damage, no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
